Innovation In A Week 2016
In november 2016 I participated in Innovation In A Week 2016; a project in which I worked every day from 9.00 to 22.00 to innovate together with two other students. The theme of this year's event was Healthy Business 3.0 and the client was Gemeente Uden. During the week, my team did (desk and field) research, used brainstorm techniques, developed unique concepts, experimented with various business models and finally wrote an business case including a market implementation plan. Throughout the week, we were coached by experienced entrepreneurs who gave us regular feedback.
Our result was very promising! Not only did we come up with a product innovation, but we combined it with a social innovation. On top of that, we designed a circular business model for our concept that included collaboration with different local partners, creating multiple win-win situations.
We won!
On the last day we presented our product concept and business model to the Gemeente Uden and several entrepreneurs. The jury later announced the winner of the Best Team award and the winner of the Innovation Award. We won the Best Team award, for working together effectively and efficiently. On top of that, the jury marked us and the winning team of Innovation Award both with an 8, so it was a very close call.
Unfortunately, I cannot share more information about the product, as my old teammates are currently continuing to set the business in motion and to apply for patents.
